Accessing the Case Portal to Create Support Cases for Designer and Server FIPS customers
This article describes the process that Alteryx customers should use to access the case portal to create support cases if they are running the versions of Designer or Server that have the Federal Information Processing Standards designation associated with it, Designer FIPS or Server FIPS, respectively. If you are not using the Designer FIPS or Server FIPS product, this article does not apply.
Prerequisites
- Designer FIPS
- Server FIPS
Procedure
How to determine if you are using Designer FIPS:
- Open Alteryx Designer
- In the menu bar, select Help > About
- The product name appearing in the About pop-up should indicate "Designer FIPS."
How to determine if you are using Server FIPS:
- Open Alteryx Server
- On the top-right part of the menu bar, click your profile icon, followed by My Profile
- Scroll to the Version information section at the bottom of the My Profile page
- The "FIPS" designation should appear next to the version number
Currently, for users of the Designer FIPS or Server FIPS products, accessing the case portal to create support cases is limited to only License Administrators. If you are a Designer FIPS or Server FIPS License Administrator, please refer to the Alteryx Case Portal FAQ to understand that process. If you are not a License Administrator, are using Designer FIPS or Server FIPS, and are having issues with the product, you will need to notify the License Administrator at your company and work with them to open a case on your behalf with Alteryx Customer Support.
If you do not know who your License Administrator is, the best course of action initially is to ask the IT or Procurement Departments at your company to direct you to that person. Alternatively, if you happen to know any of the members of your Alteryx Support Team, for example, your Account Executive, Relationship Manager, Customer Success Manager, or Technical Account Manager, you can reach out to them. If neither of these approaches works, contact a member of your Account Team. They will help put you in touch with your License Administrator.
