Description
After upgrading the controller node in a multi-node environment to Alteryx Server version 2022.3 then upgrading further nodes, an error is encountered when running Alteryx System Settings.

Issue
We have upgraded the controller machine. But after upgrading the worker node and running system settings, we received the error "Alteryx Server and Client are Incompatible"
Environment
  • Alteryx Server version 2022.3+ (when upgrading from an earlier version than 2022.3)
Cause

Alteryx Server version 2022.3 updated our bundled OpenSSL3 cryptographic engine to OpenSSL 3.0.7, which necessitates generating a new (longer) Controller Token.

Resolution

Retrieve the new controller token from the controller node. (Double click value to highlight whole)
