Environment

Issue

Receive the following error message when connecting to Snowflake and using Inner Join In-DB Tool with the same Table:
 

Error: SQLPrepare: SQL compilation error:¶duplicate alias 'Tool1_7c8a' when using Inner Join In-DB Tool with the same Table





Example data: In the table the manager_id exists as employee_id. 
Configuration of the Join In-DB Tool:

  • Alteryx Designer
    • All Versions.
  • Snowflake database
Cause

Cause

Defect: DE30000 / GDC-1220 
Status: Open.

Resolution

Resolution

Defect DE30000 / GDC-1220  is target for resolution in future release.
 

Workaround

Copy the in-db tool, add that to the join, instead of using the same tool
