Retrieve system and application event viewer logs for Alteryx.

 

Note: You can add these files to your Support ticket. If necessary, you can use a secure Dropbox link to upload the files.  

Prerequisites

Windows Operating System  

Procedure
  1. Right-click on the Start menu, then click on Event Viewer, or type the following in a Windows Explorer window.
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Administrative Tools\Event Viewer.lnk

2. Expand Windows Logs on the left side of the window and apply the following steps to both Application logs and System Logs. The Support engineer will let you know which logs to gather. In rare cases, Security logs will also be requested.

    3. You can save the log. To do this, select Save All Events As and save these in a location you can access.

     

     

    4. Save this file with the extension .evtx and provide it to Alteryx Support.

    As mentioned, you can add these files to your case, or your Engineer may have given you a secure Dropbox link to upload the files.  You can add these files during the case creation process if you need to submit a case
