Description

I have uninstalled 2022 version and tried installing 2023 version (to match with Server version), but keep getting error saying missing file. When i tried to install back previous version Alteryx doesn't open up.

Issue

The following popup box during the installation.

1) The installation source for this product is not available Verify that the source exists and that you can access it

Cause

Possible cause:

  • Corrupted registry keys on the machine.
  • A past installation or uninstallation was not completed successfully.
  • Leftover user registry keys pointing at the temp directory.




 

Resolution

MSI Error 1612  is a Windows error that indicates the program's registry keys have somehow become corrupted.

  1. Download the "Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter" from Microsoft site
  2. Run the troubleshooter, which appears as "MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta" when downloaded to your machine. 
  3. Follow the steps given by the troubleshooter.
  4. Run the installer again. If it does not solve, please reach to Alteryx Support for further action.
