Description
Editing the script in the Python tool each time creates a new subfolder and a new Jupyter Notebook document in the temporary directory. This causes the number of temporary files to grow in size until Alteryx Designer is closed. 

Example of the number of subfolders created in the temporary location:

Environment
  • Alteryx Designer
    • Version >= 2023.1
Cause

GCSE-1391/TCPE-694 has been logged to address this behaviour.
 

Resolution

The temporary files are cleared when Alteryx Designer is closed.
